Summer time is here and we will have changed our opening hours. Regular opening hours until July 3rd and we will be open only on Wednesdays after July 6th and below is more information about the hours. There will be no changes to events. OPEN July 8th: 10-15 July 15th and 22nd: 10-20 July 29th: 15-20 Then we will be closed the first week of August and will reopen to full capacity on August 10th. FabConnectHer: Supporting Women in Innovation The Erasmus+ project FabConnectHer has brought together women across Europe to learn and grow in the fields of digital fabrication and entrepreneurship. Through workshops, networking, and practical experience in Fab Labs, the project has helped participants build new skills and confidence. FabConnectHer focused on creating support materials, especially for mentors to support girls and women in STEAM. Many fun and informative works

Next week (May 26-29) Fab Lab Reykjavík staff will visit Fab Lab Sauðárkrókur and participate in the Fab Lab Iceland training camp, and with that the workshop will be closed. We would also like to inform you that the opening this summer will be revealed in early June and we will let you know then.

European girls day was on the 14th of April and we in FabConnectHer celebrated by hosting workshops and events to celebrate. Here in Fab Lab Reykjavík we held an earing workshop, where the participants made earrings with the laser cutter. A lot of fun was had and fun earrings made.

Ljósmyndari: Silla Páls Elín Birna Gunnarsdóttir has taken on the role of Project Manager at Fab Lab Reykjavík. She will manage the daily operations of the lab and lead its multidisciplinary team. On December 15th, the Red Cross Youth Club headed to the FAB LAB in Reykjavík! The group had a hands-on class learning how to create Christmas ornaments using a laser cutter!
